Was bekannt erscheint, wird neu gesehen.

Contemporary Works by Simone Ginther

With “Ein Blick auf Imst”, artist Simone Ginther turns her attention to her hometown while exploring how a familiar place can be experienced anew through an individual perspective.

Streets, buildings and everyday urban scenes form the starting point for her figurative works. Yet Ginther moves beyond mere representation: bold brushstrokes, intense colours and an expressive, partially abstract visual language transform familiar motifs into distinctive pictorial worlds.

What appears familiar is seen anew. Perspectives shift, forms dissolve and colour takes on a language of its own. The result is an Imst that feels both familiar and unfamiliar – shaped by personal memory, perception and artistic freedom.

The series is therefore more than a homage to a place. It is a personal exploration of home and an invitation to look at the familiar with new eyes.

With the first presentation of the series in Imst, the works return to the place that inspired them and served as the starting point for their creation.
